Last night, I spent a couple of hours updating my LinkedIn profile as well as writing some testimonials and receiving some back. I’m interested to see if the site can help me to connect with some interesting people which may in turn lead to work.
Copyblogger though has another suggestion for the use of LinkedIn - getting answers to those important questions rattling around in your head (a bit like Yahoo Answers but a bit more upmarket). The site has an “answers” section where you can leave your questions and anyone can respond - they don’t have to be in your network. So by asking a question, you can perhaps get an answer and also make some contacts in the process. I may just try it out.
How have YOU leveraged LinkedIn? Are there any hidden advantages / services that you have found useful on the site?
