Today is the European football Championship final between Germany and Spain, and Google Germany has a special logo for the day.   Football (as in soccer) is taken extremely seriously here and the country of whoever wins will be doing some serious partying and drinking tonight.

Google had a competition to see who could come up with the best logo for the EC final.  The winning logo was designed by 17 year old Mai Dao Ngoc from Germany.    She beat 3,800 other competitors and received over 300,000 votes.     You can see the other finalists here but I think they don’t even come close to Mai’s.
