Generating lists of keyword searches

I have been spending some time researching some free keyword search programs lately.    Back in November, I posted in Make Use Of, about a software program called “Good Keywords” that tells you how often a certain keyword has been searched for in Yahoo and Overture.   I found a similar online version the other day which looks promising.

Entitled “Wordtracker“, all you have to do is enter your keyword and it brings back a list of possible alternatives along with the estimated number of daily searches for that keyword :

This is particularly useful if you are planning a new niche website, or if you are planning to launch into an e-commerce venture.   Finding out how many cellphones (for example) are being searched for on a daily basis, along with other cellphone-related searches, is invaluable if you’re planning to break into that area.   You can also break it down to see how many people are searching for a particular brand / model.
